Who we are

Purposes and Goals: Kids Club Child Development Center (Planet Child Care of Edwardsville, LLC) was established by Chris and Julie Schad in 2004. The facility is inspected and licensed by the State of Illinois, Department of Children and Family Services to provide care for children Monday through Friday, 6:30 A.M. - 6:00 P.M

The Environment: At Kids Club Child Development Center, we strive to provide a clean, safe and educational environment for young children and their families. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. We believe in being supportive of our parents, and we welcome their positive involvement and presence at Kids Club. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to develop into responsible and contributing members of our society.

Our Philosophy: Quality child care is a direct result of qualified individuals working together for a common accomplishment: A happy, secure child! We realize that the service we provide is a significant one with the community. We know that the sort of environment and care provided for children and the type of support and assistance given to families is crucial to the successful development of happy, healthy, secure children today and responsible, fortunate adults tomorrow. This knowledge compels us to devote our energies to providing a warm and loving environment and the appropriate care and education required for optimal growth and development to occur.
Kids Club Child Development Center recognizes that they are the parents' partner and is committed to strengthening quality parental involvement.

Staffing: Kids Club Child Development Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer, selecting the most qualified individuals based on job-related skills and qualifications. Most of the staff members have Early Childhood Education credentials and specific knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities for all ages of young children. Our staff participates as "partners in parenting" with the following priorities in mind: 1. the ability to love children; 2. a devotion to a child's well being; 3. the desire and ability to aid in the development of each child's uniqueness; and 4. the capability to provide an atmosphere of friendship, trust and security. *Staff participates in 15 clock hours of training per calendar year. The staff is also required to take First Aid and CPR. Any further information on the staff members’ backgrounds may be obtained by the Center Director.
