Our Programs

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of children as young as 6 weeks to 6 years of age. Each child is a unique individual that develops at his/her own pace. New skills are encouraged as the child expresses their individual readiness. Although class assignment is initially based on a child's chronological age, we are flexible in moving a child to an alternate class if they are developmentally ready and space permits us to do so. We strive to consistently act in accordance with the principles of appropriate practice in early childhood education.

  • Our Infant & Toddler Program is full of security, warmth, and love, with a strong emphasis placed upon the communication from the caregiver through the Lillio app. Reports are completed by the caregiver and are provided to the parents to serve as the primary means of communication. These individualized charts document nutrition information, nap times, diaper and toileting information. Parents can message any special instructions for the day as well as for the caregiver to highlight specific events of the day through the app.

The curriculum for the Infant & Toddlers is incorporated into all the daily routines and enriched with activities planned by the caregivers based on each child's level of development. Each week, the caregivers plan activities that foster growth in one or more of the Developmental Milestone areas which include interest in others, self-awareness, eye-hand skills, language development, physical awareness, use of tools, and expression of feelings. As a child accomplishes development milestones, his/her development is logged on our Developmental Milestone Checklists. These checklists are done using the Lillio app and are available for parental viewing at any time. All lesson plans are developmentally and age appropriate.

  • Our Two's and Young Preschool Program strives to be a developmentally appropriate one, meeting the needs of individual children in a group setting. Additionally, we utilize daily routine components from the Creative Curriculum, a nationally recognized appropriate curriculum for young children.

Routines such as diapering, toileting, eating, and napping are important to the learning process as young children develop self-regulating skills. For this reason, the caregiver places an emphasis on conversation and meaningful interaction, especially during these times. The role of the adult is to support the child in his/her attempts at self-regulation and to extend activities along logical and creative lines.

Learning activities are planned weekly, with a balance of teacher to child directed activities, to challenge the child's current developmental level and foster further growth in all areas of the WHOLE child: cognitive, emotional, physical, and social. This growth is observed and documented beginning with the Two's Developmental Milestone Checklist and later with the Three's Skills Development Checklist as the child continues to grow and learn.

Communication between caregivers and families is again emphasized for this age group as parents and caregivers are encouraged to converse at sign-in/out times and have frequent and open communication. Families of children in this age group receive updates and photos each day through the Lillio app.

  • Our Four's and Pre-Kindergarten classes follow principles for a quality and developmentally appropriate curriculum. The preschool program currently uses the Creative Curriculum. The most important goal of our early childhood curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners. Our goals include helping children become independent, self confident, inquisitive learners.

Our curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development:

Social: to help children feel comfortable in school, trust their environment, make friends, and feel they are part of a group.
Emotional: to help children experience pride and self-confidence, develop independence and self control, and have a positive attitude toward life.

Cognitive: to help children become confident learners by letting them try their own ideas, experience success, help them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions, and use words to describe their ideas, observations, and feelings.

Physical: to help children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident in what their bodies can do. The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environment, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk with the children, are all designed to accomplish the goals of our curriculum and give your child a successful start to school.

Communication between caregivers and families is again emphasized for this age group as parents and caregivers are encouraged to converse at sign-in/out times and have frequent and open communication. Families of children in this age group receive updates and photos each day through the Lillio app.
